Biogenics Allergen Chamber will provide controlled testing of seasonal allergens throughout the year.
The Biogenics Allergen Chamber is located in the South Texas Medical Center Complex, minutes from our offices in the TNI Building.
This recently constructed chamber is a collaborative effort of Board Certified Allergists, Dr. Robert Jacobs and Dr. Daniel Ramirez, and, Board Certified Pulmonologist, Dr. Charles Andrews, CPI.
The larger of the facility's two chambers will have the capability of testing up to 80 subjects at a time.
Cedar pollen is one of the important allergens which will be utilized in testing at the Chamber. This winter season pollen is unique to our area and is extremely allergenic. Many sponsors have utilized the cedar pollen season in San Antonio for large SAR trials.
The new Biogenics Allergen Chamber will dramatically increase research opportunities by allowing year-round controlled testing of cedar and other allergic seasonal pollens.
